## Frequently Asked Questions

**Do I pay during school holidays?**
Yes, fees are payable for 48 weeks of the year. We close for Easter week, the last two weeks of August, and the week in which Christmas and Boxing Day fall, as well as on bank holidays. Monthly fees are calculated to spread the cost evenly throughout the year.

**When are fees due?**
Fees are payable monthly in advance, due on the 1st of each month. We accept bank transfer and childcare vouchers.

**What's included in the session fee?**
The daily session fee of £60.00 covers your child's place for the full day (8am–6pm) and includes all meals — breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks. The £10.00 meals charge applies only to funded days, as meals are not covered by government-funded hours. Parents are asked to provide their own nappies and wipes. You'll also need to bring a change of clothes and any comfort items your child needs.

**Can I change my sessions?**
We ask for one month's notice for any changes to sessions. We'll do our best to accommodate your needs, subject to availability.

**Do you offer Term Time Only places?**
Yes, we do offer Term Time Only places. Children attend nursery for the 38 weeks of the year, following the Shropshire County Council term dates. Please contact us for more details.

**How do funded hours work?**
Funded hours are allocated termly and cover up to 38 weeks per year (or can be "stretched" across more weeks at fewer hours). You'll need to apply through the government's Childcare Service at gov.uk and receive an eligibility code. We'll help you work out the best way to use your entitlement when you register. Please note that meals are charged separately and are not covered by funded hours.

**Who qualifies for funded hours as a working parent?**
Both parents (or the sole parent in a single-parent household) must each earn at least the equivalent of 16 hours per week at the National Minimum Wage, and neither parent can earn more than £100,000 per year. This includes employed, self-employed and company directors. You may also qualify if one partner receives Carer's Allowance or certain disability benefits.

**When does my child's funding start?**
Funded hours start from the term after your child reaches the eligible age. The start dates are: 1 January (for children who turn the eligible age between 1 September and 31 December), 1 April (1 January to 31 March), or 1 September (1 April to 31 August).
